# Arrange products

> Set the order your products appear in by clicking Arrange on the Products list and dragging them. Arrange your whole shop or one category at a time, then click Save. Shoppers see this order whenever products are sorted by Featured.

You decide which products shoppers see first. Arrange is a mode of the Products list where you drag products into the order you want, for your whole shop or for one category. It is the order your shop and your embedded product grids show by default.

## Step 1: Switch the Products list to Arrange

1. Go to **Products**.
2. Click **Arrange** at the top of the page.

The list now shows every product in one scrolling list, numbered in its current order. To arrange one category instead of the whole shop, pick it under **Category**. Choose **All products** to go back to the shop-wide order.

If you filtered the list to a category before clicking **Arrange**, it opens on that category. You can also get here from a category: in **Categories**, open the category and click **Arrange products**.

## Step 2: Put the products in order

- **Drag** a product by its handle to move it.
- **Move several at once**: tick their boxes (hold shift and click to tick a run of them), then use **Move to top**, **Move to bottom**, or type a number and click **Move to position**. You can also drag one of the ticked products to carry them all.
- **Find a product** in a long list by typing in **Find a product…**. While you search, dragging is off, but ticking and moving still work. Clear the search to drag again.

## Step 3: Save

Click **Save** in the bar at the top. The order is saved for the shop or the category you were arranging. Each category has its own order, separate from the shop-wide one.

When you are finished, click **Done** to go back to the normal Products list. If you have unsaved changes, Shoprocket asks before throwing them away.

## Where this order shows

Your order is used wherever products are sorted by **Featured**, which is the default sort shoppers see. In an embed's settings this sort is called **Custom order**. If a shopper picks another sort, such as price, or an embed is set to a different sort, that order is used instead.

The shop-wide order applies to listings of all your products. A category's order applies to that category's page, and products in its subcategories are included.

Products you haven't placed yet, including new ones, appear after the arranged ones, newest first.
