# Change your password, email or name

> My account is where you change your own name, sign-in email, password and dashboard language, and see every device signed in to your account.

My account holds the settings that belong to you rather than to a store: your name, the email you sign in with, your password, your dashboard language and the devices you are signed in on. If you work on more than one store, they all use these.

To open it, click your name at the bottom of the dashboard's sidebar, then **My account**. It opens on **Account settings**, where everything below lives. The same sidebar has **Stores**, every store you work on with its orders and sales from the last 30 days, and **Partner programme** once you have joined it.

## Change your name

1. On the **Profile** tab, edit **Name**.
2. Click **Save**.

This is the name your teammates see on the Team page.

## Change your email address

1. On the **Profile** tab, click **Change email**.
2. Enter the **New email address** and your **Current password**, then click **Send link**.
3. Open the email we send to the new address and click the link in it.

Nothing changes until you click that link, so a typo never locks you out: you keep signing in with your old address until then. If the email does not arrive, check the new address for spelling and look in its spam folder.

## Change your password

1. Open the **Security** tab.
2. Enter your **Current password**, then the new one twice. It needs at least 8 characters.
3. Leave **Sign out of other devices** ticked unless you have a reason not to, then click **Change password**.

If you have forgotten your current password, sign out and use **Forgot your password?** on the sign-in page instead.

## See and sign out signed-in devices

**Signed-in devices** on the **Security** tab lists every browser and device signed in to your account, with when each was last used. The one you are using now is tagged **This device**.

- Click **Sign out** beside a device to sign it out.
- Click **Sign out of all other devices** to sign out everywhere except here.

If you see a device you do not recognise, sign it out and change your password. A row labelled **Shoprocket support** is our support team, signed in to your account to help you; it ends on its own within an hour.

## Change your dashboard language

Pick a language under **Language** on the **Profile** tab. The dashboard switches straight away. It only changes what you see: your shop, its emails and your teammates' dashboards keep their own languages.
