# Your hosted shop

> Every Shoprocket store comes with a shop of its own on a Shoprocket address. Find the address in Settings > Domain, open it with View shop, design it with Website, and move it onto your own domain whenever you like.

Your store comes with a hosted shop: a full website with a homepage, product pages, a cart and a checkout, that Shoprocket runs for you. It works on a Shoprocket address as soon as your store exists, so you can share it before you have a domain of your own. This article shows where to find that address, how to open and design your shop, and how to move it onto your own domain.

## Find your shop's address

Your shop's address is a Shoprocket web address followed by your store's name. A store called Rose City Candles ends in `/rose-city-candles`.

1. In your dashboard, go to **Settings > Domain**.
2. In the **Your shop's address** card, the **Shoprocket address** line shows the address.
3. Click the address to open your shop in a new tab, or click the copy button next to it to copy it.

## Open your shop

Click **View shop** at the top of your dashboard. Your shop opens in a new tab. On a wide screen the button also shows your shop's address.

**View shop** appears straight away if you sell on a Shoprocket shop, or on both a shop and your own website. If you chose to sell only on your own website, it appears once you publish a homepage. You can change how you sell in **Settings > General**, under **Where you sell**.

While your store is in test mode, shoppers see a notice on your shop: "This shop is still being set up, but orders placed here are real." It goes away when you go live. See [Go live and take real orders](https://v3.shoprocket.io/help/go-live.md).

## Design your shop

1. In your dashboard, click **Website** in the sidebar. The website builder opens on your homepage.
2. Change the sections and words the way you want them. Your changes are saved as a draft that shoppers can't see.
3. Click **Publish** to put your changes on your shop.

If Shoprocket wrote your homepage when you set up your store, it is a draft until you publish it. The Overview shows **Your homepage is a draft** with a **Review** button that opens it in the builder, and a **Publish** button that puts it on your shop as it is.

Your logo, colours and fonts are set in **Settings > Branding**, and they apply across your whole shop.

## Put your shop on your own domain

Your shop can run on your own address, like `yourshop.com`, instead of the Shoprocket address. You enter it in **Settings > Domain** and add one DNS record where your domain is managed. Once it is live, your Shoprocket address keeps working and sends visitors to your domain. See [Connect your own domain](https://v3.shoprocket.io/help/connecting-a-custom-domain.md).
